This article is meant to assist with any common issues users may run into with the iOS safari extension. If you do not yet have the extension downloaded, you can find out how to download it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I dont have the iOS Safari app downloaded on my phone<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This extension will only work for the Safari iOS app. At this time it is not available for Chrome or any other browser. You can learn how to use your go links on other mobile browsers here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GoLinks Safari extension toggle is disabled<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When \u201cContent and Privacy\u201d restrictions are turned on in your phone’s settings, the ability to enable any safari extension will be blocked. To work around this issue, you can temporarily disable the \u201cContent and Privacy Restrictions\u201d by following the below steps. This does not mean you have to keep your \u201ccontent and Privacy Restrictions\u201d off, you just have to turn them off while you enable the GoLinks extension then you can turn the setting back on.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to \u201cSettings\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Navigate to \u201cScreen Time\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
      \n
      \"screen<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n
        \n
      1. Open \u201cContent and Privacy Restrictions\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
        \n
        \"content<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n
          \n
        1. Disable \u201cContent and Privacy Restrictions\u201d if it is currently enabled.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
          \n
          \"disable<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n
            \n
          1. Retry enabling the GoLinks Safari Extension<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
              \n
            1. Re-enable \u201cContent and Privacy Restrictions\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              I was not prompted to \u201cAlways Allow\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              If you were not prompted to \u201calways Allow\u201d the extension to work, you can update the permissions of the extension through your settings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                1. Scroll down to \u201cSafari\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

                        1. Under permissions, select \u201cAllow\u201d for both \u201cGolinks.io\u201d and \u201cOther Websites\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

                          I was not redirected when entering a go\/[keyword] in my iOS safari browser.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                          The following steps will help ensure that you have GoLinks enabled, and have the correct permissions granted to the extension in order for it to function properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                        I am still experiencing issues with my GoLinks iOS Safari Extension<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                        The most common issue is that users are not currently signed into their GoLinks account. You can resolve this issue by following these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                        1. Open you iOS Safari browser<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                                            \n
                                          1. Navigate to https:\/\/golinks.io<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                                              \n
                                            1. Click \u201cTry For Free\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                                                \n
                                              1. Click \u201cSign In\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                                                  \n
                                                1. Sign into your existing GoLinks account. If you do not have an account, you can create one now.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                                                    \n
                                                  1. Open a new tab and enter a go\/[keyword] <\/strong>in the address bar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
